Well anchored in its territory and at the service of Lachine people since 1948, the Lachine Museum (MDL) undertook a repositioning process in 2018 around two main museum poles: history and archeology and, according to a preliminary schedule, the MDL will begin a new phase, which is the restoration of the Maison Le Ber-Le Moyne and the expansion of the Pavillon Benoit-Verdickt. The museum is therefore taking advantage of this phase to strengthen its mission and prepare for its reopening in 2022. At the same time, in the Lachine region, urban projects around the requalification of industrial heritage will emerge, as will the name of a cultural district in the region: Old Lachine.
