Over a 15-year career as a consultant, Louise Poulin founding partner and CEO of ArtExpert, has made a specialty of strategic cultural analysis, research and feasibility studies in arts and culture. Over the past few years, she has demonstrated her expertise in managing large projects with multiple consultants and has undertaken numerous studies and projects for government departments and private institutions. Louise has studied Programming Orientation from Disney University, Orlando, and as an Arts and Culture manager, she specialized in program, organizational and infrastructure assessment.

Her meticulous yet cautious approach allows her great creativity and flexibility as a group leader. In addition to her insightful analysis, she provides a seamless working environment, enhanced by a belief in the importance of delivering a high quality product to her clients.

Benoit Gignac, Expert in strategic planning, group monitoring and cultural marketing

Benoit Gignac his active in the field of communications and culture for over 30 years. He has advised over 200 clients in all areas of activities, led numerous projects and over one hundred professionals from all sectors of communication.

He has been involved in the development of business plans, in addition to designing and managing integrated communications campaigns including the Montreal Symphony Orchestra, Cirque du Soleil Sodec, Équipe Spectra, the National Monument The Roseq, Rendez-vous du Cinema Quebecois, Vélo Québec, the Société du Palais de la civilization, the Massif de Petite-River-St-François and Groupe Germain.

Simon Van Vliet, Director of Research

Simon Van Vliet is completing a Specialized Graduate Diploma in Cultural management at HEC Montréal and has been collaborating since 2009 with the University–Community Research Alliance – Financial crisis in the arts sector: prevention rather than cure, by addressing the issues and challenges of resource sharing within the cultural sector of Quebec.

Guillaume Sirois, Analyst

A graduate in art history and cultural administrator, William Sirois has held in recent years, various positions in organizations that are dedicated to cultural policy issues. Among others, he was hired by the Montreal Arts Council to give birth to artistic diversity Montréal (DAM), before becoming an advisor on cultural policy at the Canadian Conference of the Arts (CCA). In 2008 he received the scholarship Gordon Global Fellowship to conduct research on the role of the North in the development of culturally sustainable in developing countries.

Elaine Lafond has been involved professionally in the cultural world for thirty-two years. Graduated from HEC Montreal in Cultural Management as well as from Concordia University in Music, she has worked as producer and director in many cultural organisms. In all, she directed more than hundreds of artistic productions: festivals, concerts, albums, etc.

Mario Bourdon, Production Analyst

In collaboration with ArtExpert Mario Bourdon has just completed a feasibility study for building a concert hall, conference and exhibitions in a future tourist complex. There are prepared the pro forma operating budgets and business cases. Mario Bourdon has over thirty years experience in producing television programs, performances and special events. Over the past ten years he was executive producer and consultant for the development and production of international projects, including Cirque du Soleil and the company of Franco Dragone in Belgium.

Paula McKeown, Researcher

Over the last decade, Paula McKeown’s research experience extends beyond film and television to research in the cultural arena, including the Alliance des producteurs francophones du Canada (Canadian Film and Producer Association: The place of the Francophone and Acadian communities in Canada’s television landscape). She has also worked with community and consumer groups, most recently conducting a housing market study for the Allergy and Environmental Health Association of Québec in the context of a Canadian Mortgage and Housing Corporation project. Originally from Montreal, she is a past resident of St.- John's, Newfoundland.

Maude Bouchard - Researcher and Analyst

Through several years within government cultural agencies, Maude Bouchard has developed expertise in analysis, both methods of administration and funding patterns of cultural organizations. Since 2001, she held management positions and direction in the event a surprise move, the Domaine Forget.

A graduate of HEC management of cultural organizations in 2003, Maude working since 2007 on the CURA research project: "Financial crises in the arts sector: prevention rather than cure." In the context of this research, led by Johanne Turbide she will attend a series of 45 interviews to measure the integration of external factors and internal governance of NPOs culture.

Elle est aussi titulaire d’une maîtrise en sciences politiques et relations internationales à la prestigieuse Université « La Sapienza » de Rome. Au fil des années, elle a été titulaire de différentes bourses d’étude, accordées par des organismes et ministères internationaux, qui lui ont permis d’approfondir ses connaissances académiques et linguistiques dans des contextes multiculturels (Canada, Allemagne, France, Irlande, Libye). Elle y a acquis des compétences spécifiques et approfondies relatives à des activités essentielles dans le domaine culturel et artistique, telles que le diagnostic et la cartographie.
