Creative Construct: Building for Culture and Creativity
Montreal, June 3rd - Held in Ottawa from April 28th to Mai 1st, the International Symposium puts a spotlight on culture, creativity, infrastructure and policy. The objective is to advance understanding of the complex and important role of cultural infrastructure globally and in our communities, helping to frame our long-term thinking about how the needs, challenges and opportunities in this area can be addressed.
Acting as a panellist in Canada Council for the Arts “keeping the arts infrastructure in balance” panel, Louise talked about develop a shared and balanced understanding of the strengths and weaknesses of Canada’s arts infrastructure. What makes this huge, variegated ecosystem produce and disseminate really good art, what makes it continue to do it over the years – and what stops it from doing it, in the best possible way, across our entire territory.
